All-Female Roller Derby with the L.A. Derby Dolls

Full Price:
$18.00
Our Price:
$9.00

If you've never experienced the fast-paced action of women's roller derby, you're in for a thrill. The L.A. Derby Dolls are the premier all-female, banked-track, quad-skating, rock 'n' roller derby league in Southern California. They are actually one of only 13 leagues in the U.S. that play roller derby on a banked track. Impressive indeed. And, while the L.A. Derby Dolls' uniforms may be stylish and their names playful, these women are true athletes who skate a sport that is pure, unscripted and real. Not for the faint of hearts. This was a cool little summer Friday getaway. Not too expensive. It was very family and group "friendly" event. The seats are really close to the field, hard to get bad seat, since your so close.

This is a nice little park, right next to Coney Island. The park is only a couple of years old and is clean and well cared for, lots of food vendors, and cup holders on the seats. Family friendly. Tickets were waiting for me in an envelope at the box office.

Description

Baseball and Brooklyn have always shared a unique connection — one that is as historical as it is mythical.  For nearly half a century that bond was made even more legendary by its absence, and the collective longing of millions to fill a void that had been left in their hearts.

Since 2001 the Cyclones have been one of New York's hottest attractions -- winning championships, setting attendance records, and creating countless memories. Its roster -- both coaches and players -- has been made up of former and future stars. Through it all, there has been one constant...the loyalty and passion of the Brooklyn fans. Since 2001, the Cyclones have led the New York Penn League in attendance.
