Description
Jim Jarmusch’s revisionist “acid western” follows a mild-mannered accountant, William Blake (Johnny Depp), as he travels across the frontier. Tracing both Blake’s physical and spiritual journeys, this is considered the ultimate postmodern western.
Dead Man is shown in conjunction with Bryn Mawr Film Institute’s film course Stranger than Paradise: The Films of Jim Jarmusch and will be introduced by its instructor, film critic and author Chris Long, M.A.
Dead Man is rated R, runs 2 hr 1 min, and will be shown on 35mm. The film also stars Gary Farmer, Gabriel Byrne, John Hurt, Alfred Molina, and Robert Mitchum.
