My wife and I went to this dinner show expecting the same type of entertainment and food as "Medieval Times," which is just down the street from "Pirates." It turns out that the show is just ok. Since it's a pirate-themed show, we were expecting more sword-fighting and hand-to-hand combat. For a good two-thirds of the show, it was mostly musical numbers and acrobatics which is ok if this was a Broadway play or Cirque Du Soleil, but not appropriate for this type of show. It doesn't get better until the last third of the show (when we finally see some more fighting among the pirates). The food itself was good but not great. However, just like "Medieval," it's a four-course meal that has generous portions. The alcoholic drinks are not great (if you choose to get these, it's either Blush wine or Bud Light) but you do get two free rounds. Not bad.
In the end, I think the kids will enjoy the show more than the adults. If you have kids, take them. If you don't, I would say stick with "Medieval Times." That's a much more entertaining show if you've never seen it.

This show was way more than I expected!
The Price was just the cherry on top.
Ok here's a quick rundown of the night:
(1)When you first get there you wait in the normal line with your print outs and go up to one of five windows for your seating assignment ticket.
(2)You then proceed to the entrance where you are obliged to take a picture with the pirate statue for later purchase, but are not allowed to use your own camera with the statue. (boo)
(3)Once past the "lobby" to your left is the bar/pre-show stage where they do the preshow and some audience assisted tricks. This is also the area where the appetizer carts are spread out around the open area. There is a Meatball Cart, a Carrots and Celery Cart, a Raviolli Cart, and a Cheese and cracker cart. Drinks available for purchase.
(4)At about 8pm they start to call out Sections by the color ticket you received from the ticket window and file you towards the arena.
(5)Once in your section the waiters call out the numbers for each row written on your ticket. The seats are pretty close together that you are kinda elbow to elbow. It was a bit snug for my 6'4" husband.
(6)The food was good and large portions also. You get a salad and your choice of dressing Ranch or Italian. Dinner plate is roasted chicken quarter and roast beef or roasted chicken and garlic shrimp. Either comes with mixed veggies and roasted potato wedges. Desert is a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and apple pie, ala mode.
(7)The performance was more acrobatic and a bit theatrical with everyone singing. The audience participation is a must, definitely a challenge for anyone shy. He He. Towards the end they pull out all the little kiddies and do something very special!
(8)The whole experience was well worth the cost and the drive! There's even an after show meet and greet with cake and coffee!
I hope this review helps anyone interested in attending!

I recently attended the Pirate Dinner Adventure with two friends in their late twenties. I saw this show on a Thursday night and I was surprised that that room was well more than half empty. I missed the pre-show but saw the entirety of the main show. The sets and costumes were great and very detailed. The actors were full of energy and very multi-talented: singing, fighting, acrobatics, etc. These are not Broadway actors by any means, but they are energetic and look like they are having a great time. The food was one step up from a TV dinner, but the servers were very friendly and prompt. All in all, I believe if you go to this show to sit quietly you will not be very impressed, but if you go with friends and are excited to get involved and cheer on your team's pirate you will have a blast. I agree with other members, I would have been mad if I had spent full price, but thanks to Goldstar I had a good time and I didn't have to break the bank.

Voyagers on each of the six “ships” have their own fearless pirate “mascot” whom they cheer on as the adventure unfolds with a cast of a dozen actors, singers and stunt performers engaging in a bounty of action-packed exploits, accompanied by cannon blasts, pyrotechnics and a liberal dose of wit and wizardry. In addition, more than 150 guests have the chance to play an actual role in each show as the evil Captain Sebastian the Black leads his crews of renegades to the ship, taunting the seaport “villagers” (audience members) along the way. Even youngsters can be part of the action, donning costumes to row dinghies in a crucial pirate race around the lagoon or board the galleon to brave the dastardly Sebastian the Black and rescue a beautiful princess. For one shining moment, the fantasies of would-be pirates of all ages become uncannily real in the interactive arena of Pirate’s Dinner Adventure.
Served during the show, the Port of Call Feast is truly that–a feast that says you’ve arrived at a great place. An appetizer selection and fresh garden salad introduce the delicious journey. The main course is a choice of a medley of finely roasted marinated chicken and choice of seasoned beef or seafood (shrimp and scallops); a choice of roasted red potatoes or West Indies yellow rice with Caribbean seasonings and steamed fresh vegetables. The dining finale is warm apple cobbler a la mode. Coffee and soft drinks are included. In addition, vegetarian and “Captain Kid’s” meals are available upon request. After dinner and a climactic pirate battle, every guest is invited to “get up close and personal” with the stars of the show through photo opportunities and autographs.
