This show was way more than I expected!
The Price was just the cherry on top.
Ok here's a quick rundown of the night:
(1)When you first get there you wait in the normal line with your print outs and go up to one of five windows for your seating assignment ticket.
(2)You then proceed to the entrance where you are obliged to take a picture with the pirate statue for later purchase, but are not allowed to use your own camera with the statue. (boo)
(3)Once past the "lobby" to your left is the bar/pre-show stage where they do the preshow and some audience assisted tricks. This is also the area where the appetizer carts are spread out around the open area. There is a Meatball Cart, a Carrots and Celery Cart, a Raviolli Cart, and a Cheese and cracker cart. Drinks available for purchase.
(4)At about 8pm they start to call out Sections by the color ticket you received from the ticket window and file you towards the arena.
(5)Once in your section the waiters call out the numbers for each row written on your ticket. The seats are pretty close together that you are kinda elbow to elbow. It was a bit snug for my 6'4" husband.
(6)The food was good and large portions also. You get a salad and your choice of dressing Ranch or Italian. Dinner plate is roasted chicken quarter and roast beef or roasted chicken and garlic shrimp. Either comes with mixed veggies and roasted potato wedges. Desert is a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and apple pie, ala mode.
(7)The performance was more acrobatic and a bit theatrical with everyone singing. The audience participation is a must, definitely a challenge for anyone shy. He He. Towards the end they pull out all the little kiddies and do something very special!
(8)The whole experience was well worth the cost and the drive! There's even an after show meet and greet with cake and coffee!
I hope this review helps anyone interested in attending!
Set aboard an authentically replicated 18th-century Spanish galleon measuring 46 feet long, 18 feet wide with 40-foot masts, the ship is anchored in a 250,000-gallon indoor lagoon with night sky lighting. Surrounding the lagoon is a six-sided showroom of six additional ships where the audience is seated.
The all-new adventure is set during the night of the 10th Annual Governor’s Gala, a celebration of Captain Beauregard Fetter’s defeat of the dreaded Captain Sebastian the Black and his horde of pirates. However, this year, the guests of the Gala are in for a special treat as Captain Fetter reveals he has found the last descendant of a fabled Gypsy tribe who are said to hold the key to a legendary pirate treasure. The coveted treasure is hidden in a Secret Cove and guarded by a terrifying Sea Dragon. Also in attendance at the Gala is her Royal Highness, Princess Anita. At the climax of the evening’s festivities… PIRATES ATTACK!
Captain Sebastian the Black and his pirate crew catch Captain Fetter by surprise and take him, the Gypsy, Princess Anita and all of the guests captive. They are then brought on board the ship in the Secret Cove where he plans on taking revenge on Captain Fetter and using the Gypsy and Princess Anita to perform a ritual which will locate the legendary treasure.
What Captain Sebastian does not plan on is his own son, Benjamin Blue, falling for the Princess and leading a mutiny against his father in the name of love.
Will Captain Sebastian find the treasure he has been searching for? Will Benjamin’s love for the Princess over power his father’s lust for riches and revenge? Will anyone survive when the fearsome Sea Dragon rises above the ship deck to defend his pirate treasure? Find our during a night packed with stunts, aerial artistry, special effects, and fun on the High Seas!
