We had a fun time at the Wed night "Comics Competition" which had 10 comics competing for votes from the audience members. We also got there a little early for an audition that was going on for other acts that may be booked at another time. We liked the informal atmosphere, and the service was very attentive.. We also ate dinner in the showroom and the food was good.Written on May 19 2011
Not all the comics had funny material, and overall it's not quite the quality you get at the Improv or Ice House, but most of them were good for some laughs.

We had a great time at Flappers! The best part was that Goldstar offered escort seats, which landed us in front of the stage. The comedians were funny, coming from a variety of backgrounds, and different humor.Written on Feb 06 2012
My boyfriend and I were called up to stage and had a great time! :) Highly recommend checking this out!
Two drink minimum includes food, which is actually pretty tasty :)

A fairly decent sized showroom with pretty small tables. Really good comedy. The three acts were definitely above average--with the opener, Kimberly Clark, being a terrific surprise, as she was hysterical. Great delivery and timing. Would go see her again in a minute. Dwayne Perkins was a riot and was as funny as any comedian on TV. Really nice staff. We all had dinner and 3 out of the 4 meals were great. Definitely pleased with the show and the pricing.Written on May 14 2012

The entertainment was wonderful. I took my kids (15 and 18 year olds) and they were laughing all night. (You know it must have been good when you walk away repeating the one-liners, etc.)Written on May 07 2012
We were a very dissapointed with the meal. We each had an appetizer: fries, wings, cesar salad but nothing was prepared well: wings undercooked with a nasty tasting dressing; we asked for welldone fries--didn't get them; salad had a watery dressing.

Wednesdays at 8:00pm: Uncle Clyde's Comedy Contest
LA's longest-running comedy contest, and you vote for the winner! Ten comics compete for your laughs, with a special guest performing improv, sketch or music while the votes are tallied. The first, second and third place winners are invited back for the semifinal round, followed by the annual Clyde's Cup Grand Championship, where the winner receives $2,000 cash.
Monthly: The Apple Tree Boys
The Apple Tree Boys is a hilarious improvised comedy show starring headliners Harland Williams and Sean Tweedley. Williams is known the world over for his hilarious movie roles and outlandish stand-up and sketch comedy routines. Williams has starred in numerous unforgettable roles such as the pee-drinking cop in Dumb and Dumber, the loveable horse-killing stoner Kenny in Half Baked, the hitchhiking serial killer in There's Something About Mary, the goofball astronaut Fred Z.
