Peter and the Starcatcher, the multiple Tony Award-winning show that The New York Times called "the most exhilarating storytelling on Broadway in decades," is the swashbuckling, madcap prequel to Peter Pan. A dozen actors play more than 100 characters, combining their acting talent with ingenious stagecraft and an imaginative story to reveal the origins of "the boy who wouldn't grow up." The musical play takes a hilarious romp through the Neverland you never knew in an action-packed adventure that brings pirates, orphans and secret agents of the Queen together on the high seas. Based on the bestselling novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, and written by Rick Elice (Jersey Boys), Peter and the Starcatcher boasts an all-star creative team and weaves an enchanting tale that appeals to both adults and kids. i cannot believe i spent that much time in a converted closet! the fighting and the cow sounds were just about suffocating, and the three rows of seats jam packed together made for a very ......"sardine can" feel. i wasn't even able to enjoy the play due to this tiny *coughtheathercough* PLEASEEEEE do not waste ur time there unless they decide to raise the ceiling and make sure that closet has an easy exit.
The Sidewalk Studio Theatre at 4150 Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake proudly presents the world premiere of Milk and Cookies, a new comedy by Jonathan Dorf, directed by Sal Romeo.
A dead bank teller. A housewife on the run. Milk on the move. All signs point to Montana.
What do you do when your children poison the cookies they gave to the teller at the bank’s drive-through window? If you’re Margaret Nancy Reagan Ballmoth, you run away to Montana. With the help of milk conspiracy theorist Bruce, will she find the mythical Rufus and get a new identity? What will happen to her allegedly killer kids? And what if the milk conspiracy turns out to be reality…? With a carton of two percent gone missing, payback could be a &@#@!
The play features an outstanding ensemble boasting both international and local acclaim. Its members are: Beth Patrik, Marc Aden Gray, Heidi Fielek, Eric Bolton and Patrick Gallagher
