Neil Simon's beloved buddy comedy of hilariously mismatched roommates comes to the Camarillo Skyway Playhouse. When slovenly sportswriter Oscar Madison takes in his neurotic neat freak friend Felix Ungar after Felix's wife throws him out, all comic hell breaks loose. The two men get into increasingly heated squabbles over the state of Oscar's apartment, and a hilarious double date with the attractive Pigeon sisters comes to an unexpected and comedic conclusion. Debuting on Broadway in 1965, the Tony Award-winning comedy inspired a movie starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon, a TV series starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, and countless revivals on stages around the world. My mom and I caught the last day matinee performance of Company, we purchased our tickets through Goldstar. We enjoyed the performance very much, The entire experience was a class act! The theater was very quaint and very comfortable, the people that work the ticket and concession booths were very friendly and inviting- we will definitly be back for more shows.
Quotes & Highlights
“… Choate proves an engaging song and dance man and an actor with the ability to express a lot with a subtle touch. Whether he’s slack-faced with disappointment or shocked at his friends’ foibles, he’s a magnet for attention. And if all else fails, there’s that wayward curl across his brow and a mischievous smile that keeps the ladies wondering if he’s looking their way.” —Ventura County Star
