The Boston Babydolls' dark burlesque returns in its most ambitious incarnation for this year's take on their acclaimed show, The Wrathskellar. Staged in a storefront tavern in East Cambridge, The Wrathskellar is a departure from the Babydolls' usual mix of bubbly fun and retro glamour. This time they present a moody whirlpool of sinister dirges, predatory laments, and torch songs in a minor key. Instead of big band and swing, the soundtrack for The Wrathskellar features atmospheric and evocative works from Utë Lemper, the Squirrel Nut Zippers, Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen in an evening of revenge, jealousy, greed, betrayal, lust, murder and, of course, sultry dancing by Miss Mina and company.

What a great date night place! We had a ball! The only complaint was that there wasn't any wine, only beer, and the place is being renovated, so there was only one crappy bathroom that everyone at the event had to share. Other than that, the show was humorous, sexy, and goolishly fun!

Loved the show. The Boston Baby Dolls were entertaining as always. They picked the perfect place to perform that had a Halloween feel and fit the bizarrness of their acts. Very creative, sensual, dark, wierd and creepy.
