I've seen it several times and it's been wonderful in different ways each time. The play's approach shows King as a very human man, which makes his achievements more not less monumental. The play also helps us focus on the issues that he...continued

A powerful piece of theater. A young, black, woman playwright gives us her personal vision of Dr. Martin Luther King's last night before he was assassinated. It's a deeply moving portrait of the man behind the myths, done in a way that makes him...continued

This fictional account of the last night of Martin Luther King's life was an amazing piece of drama. My companion and I enjoyed the performances of both actors. Although we did not stay for the discussion after the performance, we did and I have...continued

The Central Square Theater is a wonderful place for a play. I was able to have a seat and any seat would have allowed a birds eye view of the stage and allowed you to be up close and personal with the actors. The Mountaintop, for a two-person...continued

The acting and staging were good, but the story was uneven without an arc

The performances were uneven as were the accents. The female actor appeared to be wearing some type of apparatus under her dress which gave the appearance of a tail.

I really enjoyed this event, as I've always held Martin Luther King in high esteem for what he did for our country. To be a part of what his thoughts and actions, might have been, prior to his death, was surreal, and the "twist" of the plot with...continued

Extremely limited in scope, this play offers an uncomplicated view of a very complex time and American hero. What we learn from this trite play we already know. Dr. King smoked, had relationships with women outside his marriage and was probably...continued

I heard a lot of hype about this play, and I'd enjoyed Arabian Nights at the same location, so I figured I would go, with boyfriend, to see The Mountaintop.

The set is very intimate, with not a bad seat in the house (take advantage of the...continued

We loved the show; two very strong actors and the use of multi-media. Only critical comment: took too long to get to the real issue (maid/angel)and it dragged a bit on the way. Once the role changed it was terrific! Bravo!

I'm afraid I did not much care for this production. The script never fullly engaged me and I found the twists and turns of what was really going on even less engaging. It's especially important for a two-person cast to have equal balance in it's...continued
