Get ready for an enchanting night of Celtic music and dance in celebration of the holiday season as Brian O'Donovan hosts A Christmas Celtic Sojourn. The host of WGBH's national radio program A Celtic Sojourn has been hosting this live show since 2003, and in that time, it's become a much-anticipated tradition in the Boston area. This year's 11th anniversary show promises to be just as spectacular as ever, with performances by some of the Celtic world's finest performers, including American Irish music pioneers Solas, body percussionist and fiddler Steve Hickman and harpist Maeve Gilchrist. Also hear the distinctive music of Norway as Mariel Vandersteel takes the stage with her eight-string Hardanger fiddle, named after a musically vibrant and distinct part of the country, and watch a performance by the young dancers from the Harney Academy of Irish Dance in Walpole. All this and some surprises too! Let the festive Celtic music and dance lift your spirits this holiday season. Learn More

The Spirit of Tribal dance event will combine one of the best known professional performers of American Belly Dance with performances by some of the best local belly dance solo dancers and troupes.
Headlining the evening will be Carolena Nericcio, the founder of San Francisco-based Fat Chance Belly Dance who is also credited as the creator of American Tribal Style, a unique and beautiful improvisational dance style that draws upon Egyptian, Turkish, Spanish and Indian traditions. Although she regularly performs across the US and internationally, this will be Carolena’s first time performing in Boston. She will be dancing with Megha Gavin of Devyani Dance Company based in Alabama.
The show will include performances covering a variety of the hottest and most exciting styles of dance – American Tribal style, Tribal Fusion, and Flamenco by both local and national dancers. OmBellyCo, the Boston based American tribal style (ATS) belly dance troupe hosting the event, will perform along with a host of the best local Belly Dancers and troupes in traditional, fusion and improvisational styles.
