Seascape: Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-Winning Play

Giant lizards and a Pulitzer Prize-winning script come together in Seascape at New Village Arts Theatre. Penned by iconic American playwright Edward Albee (The Zoo Story, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) in 1975, Seascape finds recently retired couple Charlie and Nancy enjoying an afternoon on the beach. She wants to see the world. He wants to sit still and enjoy their quiet life. Soon, they're face-to-snout with their prehistoric selves in the form of another couple -- who are of a different species. Filled with Albee's linguistic playfulness, Seascape is a deeply thoughtful and absurdly funny drama. Learn More

Written on Jun 25 2012Very funny and inventive. I really enjoyed this production
Written on Jun 22 2012I couldn't follow due to the fast talking and switching to other people. I Still have questions. I stated after to talk to the cast but no one brought up all the connections between all the people. I still don't Understand what some of the people were trying to tell me and I didn't want to ask a stupid question. There were only 6 or 8 people that stayed after to speak with the cast.
Written on Jun 18 2012Very off beat play good acting and great script, loved how it all came together in the end. A little adult but you said that in the ratings.
Written on Jun 18 2012Good acting. Unusual story. Kept my interest. Wanted to return for second act to find out the end.
