A fun evening out for the family nearly ruined by the shambles of the parking lot. The LA Galaxy put on a good event, noisy, happy and memorable. Its unfortunate that the soccer was not as good as the occasion. The fireworks were great although the choice of music to go along with them was poor. Exiting was painful with a darkened parking lot, no signage and attendants who made traffic management look like Chinese algebra. It took longer to get from our seats to the public road than the entire first half of the game. If you are trying to make people feel great about visiting your event, dont contract out crowd control. LA Galaxy need to remember they are in the experience business and our experience was badly affected by this simple failure.Written on Jul 05 2011

Enjoyed the event. Really nice, clean venue. Bit surprised that we had to exit the stadium and stand outside to see the fireworks -- wasn't expecting that at all. But fireworks were very impressive. Re. parking, we were originally going to park on the opposite side, but told an attendant that we needed to be close to Will Call and he directed us enter through the Main Gates instead. This worked out really well, we arrived early enough to get a parking spot close to the entrance and only a short walk to Will Call (although Gold Star members need to go to a separate tent and not the main Will Call). So, my tip would be: arrive early, enter the parking at the Main Gate & ask for the Goldstar tent. Also when leaving, just hang out for half an hour to let the traffic die down.Written on Jul 25 2011
