The Gingerbread Lady is preformed at the Chanticleers Theatre in Castro Valley. The theatre is very small and quaint. It reminded me of an old school house, (think Little House on the Praire). There is great charm in this location. Don't let the size fool you into thinking the play will be some cracker jack act. It is anything but that. The play was riviting, when it was time for intermission I wanted the play to keep going. There was no time that I was not wisked away in this true to life play. They captured the emotions and pulled the audience in to their world. If the prices were that of a Broadway play I would still suggest this play. really it is that great. The content, location and actors made for a great experience. If that is not enough during intermission cookies and cookie were served, donations accepted. After the preformance an entire line of tables were fully packed with yummy treats for all of the patrons.

The play was excellent and very professionally presented. My wife and I were very impressed at the quality of the production. This was our first excursion into local theater and we will definitely try it again.

Great show. Wonderful performances, especially the female and male lead actors.
