Fantastic selection! I was doubtful of advertising but there really was something for everyone---a large variety of everything--original designs, silver, gold, paltinum, beads, loose gems and stones, findings, costume, classic, fun, ethnic, etc., etc, etc. Really, something for everyone, no matter who you are or what you like!!!

I try to make it to the Gem and Jewelry Show every time it's at the Dulles Expo Center. There's a huge variety -- diamonds and fine jewelry, sterling silver, beaded jewelry, and tons of supplies for jewelry making. I'm more of a beaded/sterling kind of girl, and I always find a great selection at VERY reasonable prices. There are some vendors that I make sure to visit each time. It's a great place to buy gifts, also. I definitely recommend going!
Sundays tend to be less busy, and lots of vendors discount items on Sunday because it's the last day of the show.

There is a wide array of beautiful jewelry at this event - everything from diamonds to stone beads to jewelry making supplies. I think it might be best to go on Sunday, as many vendors sell items for "50% off." I actually went all three days and enjoyed it.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I have seen these shows advertised but never thought I would really find anything. I was dragged, I mean, accompanied my wife who was in search of a colored diamond. We were one of the first 20 in the door (had already scoped out where we wanted to go). Came across a dealer from New York (#907)and got a great deal on a blue diamond. I will definitely be at the next show! Also a great place for bead lovers. On the way out we received coupons to attend the show at National Harbor in October.

A good jewelry show. Many vendors and most items displayed well. Prices were good.

This year marks my 4th visit to the Gem show and it's pretty much the same every year. The aisles are narrow enough that the no-stroller rule makes perfect sense but I think they pack too much into the floor with a lot of repeats. You don't have to go through every aisle unless you're looking for something very specific... there's a lot of the same once you've gone through half the floor.
I still love it though - I'll go again!

i enjoyed it. it's huge so you should allow alot of time if you want to take it all in.

An overwhelming amount of jewelry, gems, and beads.
Great place to look for engagement/wedding settings!
Or the jewelry marker's dream of supplies!

The event was awesome - this was my second time going and I was not disappointed.

A great, wide selection of gems and jewelry. If you like beads this is a great place to go. Also there are great buys on diamonds (for engagement or wedding rings) and gems to have set.
I wish there were more options for men's wedding bands. The whole point of going to this show was to get an idea for my fiance; however the selection was not as big as I had hoped.

A great place to buy beads if you enjoy making your own jewelry. The have a great variety to choose from - from $1 per strand to gemstones that are quite expensive.

Tons-O-stuff if your looking for shiny things!

I enjoyed the show, but was VERY disappointed that the "free" tickets I purchased through Goldstar were not being honored by the event. I will be hesitant to use Goldstar again because of this

If you can't find it here, it dosn't exist.....

Great event! If you're going to buy jewelry for anyone in your life for any occasion, this is the place to do it! Bring your wallet/credit card/checkbook and be ready to use it!

We had a great time and founds some wonderful jewelry bargains. Although we didn't have problems getting in, the young man at the door did say this was the last time they were taking internet tickets. This event doesn't have a will call window to get regular tickets in exchange so I'm not sure I'd want to risk using Goldstar again for this event.

Wasn't as upscale as i would've liked. Seemed to be mostly for people who make jewelry from pre-made bead strands.

This was my first time attending the International Gem & Jewerly Show and I must say I was impressed. I was not expecting it to be so large with so many vendors with all sorts of price ranges and styles of jewerly/gems. I would definitely come to another one in the area. If you do plan on going to this event make sure you wear comfortable shoes and allow yourself plenty of time to browse. Time goes by very fast when your shopping.

Loved the show - bought a lot!
Was told they are no longer accepting Goldstar tickets..????

Overwhelming!!! I was not prepared for the number of exhibitors or the volume of attendees... it is happening again in August and I will definitely go and be prepared to make smart buying decisions.

I didn't plan on buying as much as I did. My friend and I enjoyed the quality and diverse merchandise selections at the show. I can see why on the third day it was still so busy! Looking forward to next year!

It was a bit overwhelming - so many vendors and so many people - but the prices were good and the selection astonishing. Definitely fun.

A good opportunity to purchase beads and jewelry fixings at "sale" prices. While you can get similar prices online, I think there is no substitute to actually seeing the beads before you buy them. There seemed to be less variety than the Fall show -- but perhaps that's to be expected. In general, very good resource for folks who like to bead.

It was a lot of fun and a nice variety of jewelry, stones, both expensive and inexpensive.

This was my first time attending the gem and jewelry show - it was so much fun, wonderful bargains and so much to see! All of the jewelers I spoke with only sell thru the gem and jewelry show...and I saw things I can't get elsewhere. I will be a regular from now on!

There were a lot of great vendors! I wish the show came to the DC area more frequently with a location closer to DC itself. Not sure if the prices are any lower than in regular stores.

Great opportunity to see and feel stones before buying. Fabulous selection, too.

It was a little overwhelming, but I did buy several pieces.

this was a fun event, if a bit overwhelming. people everywhere, but we definitely got some good deals!

I wasn't sure what to expect at the show, and was pleasantly surprised. As a novice beader, I was hoping for a selection of interesting beads, and I wasn't disappointed. Among others were some handmade beads that were like nothing I'd seen before (peyote-stitch covered beads in a variety of sizes and shapes; real leaves dipped in a variety of metals and then prepared so that the veining was visible, gorgeous ceramic tiles). There were also some great buys on standard beads and supplies (these required a bit of hunting since pricing varied quite a bit by vendor). The show was huge, and I wasn't prepared for something quite so big. Next time, I plan to arrive when the show opens!

I'll have to get into the art of beading before the next show! So much to choose from. But I wished there was more gold jewelry on sale. I couldn't find a ring I was looking for.

I thought the event was interesting and seemed like a great venue for those into beading or jewelry making. I did not see many spectacular savings on regular jewelry. I'm glad I was able to get discount tickets through Goldstar!!

This last show was not as the shows that I had gone to previously.

It was table after table of basically the same stuff. They need to add some variety to their vendors. We walked through one half of it and left. Usually the shows at the Expo Center are good. This one was boring.
