Of all the many versions of the King Arthur legend, Camelot, the stage musical by Lerner and Loewe (My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Gigi), remains one of the most popular. Pageantry, adventure and some of the most gorgeous melodies of the past century combine in this four-time Tony Award-winning show about the tumultuous love triangle between King Arthur, Queen Guenevere and Sir Lancelot. Featuring many of Broadway's most beloved songs, including "The Lusty Month of May," "How to Handle a Woman," "I Loved You Once in Silence," "If Ever I Would Leave You" and "What Do the Simple Folk Do?" Camelot continues to enchant audiences more than 50 years after it premiered. Learn More

The area of Serenbe itself is quaint and interesting.
"Playhouse" is a misnomer for the actual performance area. Even "Wildflower Meadow" is a stretch of the imagination for the open field with folding chairs. Some lucky patrons were smart (and adventurous enough) to climb up the scaffolding that housed some of the camera lights. I'm sure they had optimal viewing up there in the sky. Still, it was a good experience and the ambiance was exceptionally apropos for "Hair".
The ticketing "booth" in the old school bus was a blast from the past. Patrons and employees were very friendly and seemed to all be in the mood for a mind-expanding experience. Thank yous are in order for the theater company providing the insect repellent.
The acting was good, although there is really no earth-shattering story line. Maxim Gukhman's performance was strong. Just like his lead in "Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson" at Actors Express, Maxim was in command and full of energy.
This venue is one that everyone should at least try out once. You will probably want to go back for more, though, because it is unique and fun.

Excellent performance; I grew up in that era, and I remember all the flower children, the craziness, and the focus on drugs and make love, not war. They captured the moment. It is well worth going. The cast are excellent and did an awesome job.
You are welcome to bring a picnic. Water, coke, wine, beer and other concessions will be sold onsite.
