A German tourist and his peculiar, foul-mouthed girlfriend -- both not long for this world due to cancer -- make a trip to an American theme park in A Very Terrible Father. But in this tender dark comedy, their trip isn't a typical vacation -- they're on a mission to visit his regretfully discarded daughter for a first and final time. Written by actor-director-playwright and Dream Theatre Co. cofounder Jeremy Menekseoglu (Peter Pan's Shadow, Agon Trilogy), Father features Megan Merrill, Katherine Swan, Giau Truong, Alexandra Woodruff and Jeremy Menekseoglu.

Beach Blanket Babylon: Long-Running Musical Comedy Revue at Club Fugazi

Full Price:
$53.00
Our Price:
$26.50

Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon is the world's longest-running musical revue. Since 1974, this San Francisco institution has followed Snow White on a musical comedy quest around the world, where she runs into satirically portrayed pop-culture and political celebrities, an impressive array of gigantic hats and one show-stopping musical number after another. Because the show is constantly updated with new costumes, hats and characters, it rewards repeat visits. Among the familiar faces you might see spoofed in Beach Blanket's latest incarnation: Lady Gaga, Barack and Michelle Obama, the cast of Glee, Kate Middleton and Adele. Even after nearly 40 years, Beach Blanket Babylon remains one of San Francisco's wildest evenings of live entertainment. Learn More

This play is incredible. The story line all too familiar. The actors brought much emotion to life, on a meager stage, well prepared for each scene. Not a dry eye in the audience when Matti poured his unforgiving heart out to his daughter. Lilli's fragile character in the play swiftly captured our attention through her quirky but cute depiction of Matti's GF. Zita's voice echoed throughout the small venue and Bill stayed true to his stern step fatherlike persona. These actors/actresses sold the show to the crowd. Oscar would be proud!
