The Gift presents the U.S. premiere of Rodney Ackland's Absolute Hell. The setting is London, at the members-only club La Vie en Rose and its colorful cast of bohemian lovers, losers, soldiers and dreamers. It's a month after World War II has ended, and with an important election on the horizon everyone is eager to repair both country and self. Bold and haunting, Absolute Hell is among The Royal National Theatre's "Top 100 Plays of The Twentieth Century." Ensemble member Sheldon Patinkin directs.

Great, intimate theater and performance. Some wonderful writing and dialogue. Can't imagine that this hasn't taken off more but it really was quite good. A truly gifted ensemble performance at the Gift Theater. Great evening!
