The world famous Joffrey Ballet stages a bold contemporary version of one of Shakespeare's most beloved tragedies, Romeo and Juliet. The Chicago Philharmonic will be on hand to perform Sergei Prokofiev's powerfully dramatic score, which includes the famous "Dance of the Knights" (aka "Montagues and Capulets"). This timeless story of two young lovers caught between their warring families unfolds against a striking multimedia backdrop, which depicts three different political eras of the 20th century. Choreographed by Krzysztof Pastor, director of the Polish National Ballet, this vibrant new telling of Romeo and Juliet is "stunning ... truly magnificent" (London's The Telegraph). Learn More

David Sedaris is hilarious, however, Goldstar sold the WORST tickets possible. I bought as soon as Goldstar posted the tickets, yet got the worst tickets possible according to their seating chart. I am 5'4" and could not move in these seats. There is NO WAY a grown man could have sat in it. Believe it or not there were NO SPEAKERS up in our section either, just one giant one on the first floor, so sound was terrible, seats were terrible and the view was significantly blocked. Sedaris, when he could be heard, was great as usual.

The performer was great but the venue was dreadful. Poor sound made it difficult to hear. And the venue has terrible signage, meaning that people had a great deal of difficulty doing simple things like locating Will-Call or finding their seats.
