Very nice studio in a fun neighborhood; enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers; comfortable and not intimidating. It was also nice meeting the other students -- a good group. Perfect for a Friday evening!

More Information About Beginning Tango Class for Young Professionals

Description

This class is conducted in an intimate, friendly and supportive environment so that individuals receive the attention to not only develop their skills but also their confidence and dance character. The study of the tango can improve your balance, focus, sensitivity, and particularly your ability to work with and respond spontaneously to a partner.

In addition, tango is a fun way to meet and get to know people. The instructors share their skills, knowledge and experience by providing a creative learning social environment for individuals or couples. (No partner or experience required!)

Students will focus on the basic fundamentals of Argentine Tango, such as body-dynamics, balance, and connection.

You will work on developing a well-balanced walk as well as working on combinations of front and back ochos. Students will be encouraged to develop navigational skills so that they can move freely on the dance floor.

The instructors will emphasize posture, step patterns, leading & following skills, and interpreting the music. Basic step, ochos forward and ochos back.
