This fun "urban safari" unveils the fascinating backstory of Chicago's "secret weapon" against the elements -- the covered and heated Pedway (Pedestrian Walkway). The two-hour walking tour covers 80% of the Pedway's 40 blocks of tunnels, concourses, skyway bridges, shops, food courts and train stations, serving up historical tidbits and juicy lore on some of the city's more colorful characters. You'll see such iconic landmarks as City Hall, Chicago Cultural Center and even Macy's department store in a whole new light, and walk away with a fresh appreciation for a fundamental yet often under-appreciated piece of the great puzzle that is the Windy City.
