These days we've certainly seen our share of young starlets gone astray. As Broads on Boards points out, this is no new trend. A pair of Chicago theater heavyweights -- Lauren Dowden and Jeff Award-winner Amanda Blake Davis -- play a pair of stage and screen legends whose image went from young celebrity to pill-popping has-been. With more than 50 years of experience with hits like Gamtastic! and Li'l Darlin' Debbie, former Broadway stars Edie Basket (played by Davis) and Eleanor Wizz (Dowden) reunite for a final musical trip down memory lane. Singing original songs by composer/lyricist Matthew Loren Cohen, co-creator of the award-winning improvised musical The Next Big Broadway Musical, the ladies share their stories of fame and heartbreak, hoping to reignite the fire of their career.
