Following an acclaimed sell-out tour of the United Kingdom, Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's phenomenal musical success is now embarking on a brand-new U.S. national tour. The soaring score features the memorable title tune, along with "Masquerade," "The Music of the Night" and "All I Ask of You." Hailed as "stunning, intense and spectacular" by the Sunday Express, this production features a brilliant new design by Paul Brown, costumes by Maria Björnson, new choreography by Scott Ambler and a new staging by director Laurence Connor. The production, overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh, boasts many exciting special effects, including the show's legendary chandelier. The Phantom of the Opera traces the tragic love triangle of a beautiful opera singer, her childhood love and the tortured masked genius who lives beneath the Paris Opera House. Learn More

Q-Tips Say: Go see it! Buddy Holly’s musical road to success. Extremely talented cast.
Mrs Q says: She had to control herself from standing up and dancing to the music in the isle as not to embarrass herself and Mr. Q. We went to a matinee and it was mostly an older crowd with a sprinkling of younger people. Many of the talented cast danced, sang, performed and also played musical instruments – (wish I could do just one as well as they did). The end is wonderful with songs from Buddy, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson. As you may know, they all perished in an airplane crash at very young ages. However, the crowd did not disappoint at the end with most standing up and clapping and swaying to the music.
Bit of Buddy Holly History:
Buddy Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959), known professionally as Buddy Holly, was an American singer-songwriter and a pioneer of rock and roll. Although his success lasted only a year and a half before his death in an airplane crash, Holly is described by critic Bruce Eder as “the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll. His works and innovations inspired and influenced contemporary and later musicians, notably The Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Rolling Stones, Don McLean, Bob Dylan, Steve Winwood, and Eric Clapton, and exerted a profound influence on popular music. Holly was one of the inaugural inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Holly No. 13 among “The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time”.
