Tom Hiddleston (Thor, The Avengers) stars in this Donmar Warehouse production of Shakespeare's political thriller Coriolanus, broadcast as part of National Theatre Live, the series that brings the best of British theater to movie screens worldwide. Coriolanus, Rome's greatest warrior, displays a stubborn hubris that spurs him in battle but alienates the common people at home when he becomes a politician. Raised to be a hero by his prideful mother, Coriolanus refuses to compromise, even to save his own life. Exiled from his country, the warrior returns to what he knows best, vowing to take bloody revenge on the people who rejected him.
