Chicago is ordinarily such a picturesque city that it becomes truly extraordinary when it's dressed up with holiday lights. This unique holiday experience combines a fun and informative walking tour of the city's history with an entertaining bus tour showcasing Chicago's festival of lights. The walking portion of the three-and-a-half-hour guided tour takes place from the comfort of part of Chicago's Pedway, the city's six-mile indoor heated walkway. After wrapping up the walk at Macy's legendary Walnut Room, you'll board a bus for the last hour of the tour, visiting State Street, the Daley Plaza Christmas Tree, "Christkindlmarket," the Palmer House Hilton, the Water Tower and the heralded Drake Hotel. The bus then traverses the world-famous Magnificent Mile on its way back to the East Wacker starting location. All tours include a holiday trivia contest and ugly Christmas sweater competition, with prizes. Learn More

I truly enjoyed this tour and Dan, our tour guide, was FANTASTIC! Dan is well read and passionate about the history of Chicago. We learned many interesting facts from Chicago being an "Alpha" city to how connected to the world Chicago truly is. We were provided with a booklet of pictures and fun facts to carry along on the tour as a reference. The architecture of Chicago and the array of angles you will view it from along the riverwalk are stellar. If you're a local or a tourist DON'T miss Chicago's Finest River Walk Tour. If Dan is your tour guide you will have fond memories of Chicago forever.
Chicago's history is brimming with stories of mankind's many triumphs over nature, horrific tragedies and glorious achievements. Come learn how a swamp transformed into one of the world's leading "Alpha" Cities! Chicago's history is filled with unparalleled historic events and fascinating tales of many colorful figures:
McCormick, Swift, Palmer, Field, Pullman, Ward & Sears
“the Reaper King,” “the Meat King of America,” “the Merchant Prince" and “the Sleeper Car King"
Jenney, Root, Burnham, Sullivan, van der Rohe & Wright
Mickey Finn, "Hinky Dink" Kenna, Carrie "Madame" Watson and the infamous Al Capone
The tour is two hours and 30 minutes long and ends at Trump Tower Plaza. The tour involves stair-climbing, standing and sitting and minimal walking.
