More Details About This Event: Chicago Symphony Orchestra Dvorák - Symphony No. 8 Dvorák's bucolic Eighth Symphony is a delightful late-Romantic treasure. A portrait of country life, complete with rustic dances and birdsong, this is one of the Czech composer's most infectious and beloved works. Popular conductor Michael Tilson Thomas leads Ives' bold and colorful symphonic portraits of great American holidays. About Symphony Center: Orchestra Hall was designed by the famous Chicago architect Daniel Burnham, and finished in 1904. Since that time it has undergone several restorations, including its transformation into Symphony Center in October 1997. |
