Get yourself over Hump Night by attending this variety showcase featuring some of the best and brightest comic talents in Chicago. It's the latest show from Under The Gun Theater Company, Chicago's newest group on the arts and comedy scene. Under the Gun's creators -- Kevin Mullaney (Chicago Improv Festival artistic director) and Angie McMahon (founding director and performer at Chemically Imbalanced Comedy) -- are loaded with talent and experience. Their goal is to create original theater through improvisation, storytelling, music and movement -- all with the goal of making you laugh. In addition to the Main Event, there's also a Pregame Show, which gives new performers an opportunity to work in front of an audience at the Apollo Theater. Please see the full event description for more info on who's scheduled to perform each night. Learn More
Quotes & Highlights
- "Recommended." --Windy City Times
- "Frugia emcees bits with charm and poise." --Chicago Reader
- "Author Todd Frugia portrays all four coaches, his delineation of their disparate personalities always keen and instantly distinguishable, even during the swift changes from one to the other. (Especially funny are the scenes depicting the testosterone-riddled teachers attempting to carry out their classroom duties.)" --Windy City Times

ROOMS Productions invites you to explore a typical week of High School football, in the small rice farming community of Winnie, Texas, as the audience gets a chance to become the fightin' Buccaneers (the East Chambers varsity football squad). Four outrageous coaches and a twangy guitar wielding musical guide (all played by writer and creator Todd Frugia) will lead torture and teach you a little bit about this holy game's sacred philosophies.
