Still the sexiest of the great American musicals, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Cabaret comes vividly to life at Citadel Theatre. This acclaimed musical revolves around the romantic intrigues of cabaret singer Sally Bowles, young American writer Cliff Bradshaw and other denizens of the seedy Kit Kat Klub, amid the backdrop of the Nazis' rise to power in 1930s Berlin. Played out with commentary from the club's darkly comic Emcee, the show's memorable songs include the title tune, along with "Willkommen," and "Tomorrow Belongs to Me." Learn More

SOOOOOO terrible. God. I apologized profusely to my fiance for dragging him to this. The "comedian" realized he was tanking HARD about 15 minutes into his show and started pointing at the back row with his beer bottle and calling them (starts with C,) "_UNTS" for not laughing at his offensive, but (worse), terribly unfunny "jokes." Some of his lines were met with total silence from the audience, which led him to complain extensively that Chicago was so much more receptive to him the last time he was in town. My fiance and I grimaced through the first 40 minutes and then slammed our drinks, grabbed our coats and left. DO NOT waste your time. So so so sorry that I did.
