star this review starred report as inappropriateI really enjoyed Tommy’s stand-up show here in Chicago. At times, he literally had my eyes watering from laughing so bad! Overall he was good, but there were times where he carried on certain jokes too long (i.e. licorice, LOL). He is skilled at making jokes on the fly, impersonations and engaging the audience. Tommy certainly provided the crowd with their money’s worth and performed for close to 90 minutes. The opening acts and the emcee were also good. The venue is clean, professional, reasonably priced, has comfortable seating and a good selection of menu options although I wish they could have been a little faster with the waiter service (with only 2 waiters to serve a nearly packed audience).

Description
Tommy Davidson has been doing stand-up since the mid-80s, and though he has branched out considerably since then, he still tours his acclaimed act across the country extensively. Davidson’s film credits include a debut with Halle Berry in Strictly Business, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Juwanna Mann, and Black Dynamite, as Cream Corn. Davidson has also has had a prodigious TV career, with recurring roles on both In Living Color and MADtv, and also provided the voice for Oscar Proud on Disney’s The Proud Family. Davidson has had three lauded standup specials: On Strength of New York, Illin' in Philly, and Takin' it to DC. In addition to his standup achievements, he is perhaps most famous for his wide variety of impersonations of celebrities from Samuel Jackson to Cher to John Madden.
