Full Price:
$25.00
Our Price:
$12.50

Based on the playwright's life and considered one of Arthur Miller's most personal plays, After The Fall follows a man on his quest to make peace with his own history and with the tumultuous world around him. This experimental portrait of a man struggling with the choices he has made in his public and private life examines the personal, political and universal forces that collide when we "fall" from innocence. Following the death of his second wife, Quentin tries to move forward, but he must also relive childhood losses, failed marriages and the effects of the 1950s' Blacklist. This rarely produced classic is presented by the HumanArts Theater Company. Learn More

This was my first visit (Saturday, January 2) to The Raven Theatre and it far exceeded my expectations as a venue. "Death of a Salesman" was a well-acted and powerful story of a troubled man and family. I read the screenplay in college so when I had the opportunity to see the play I could not miss it. The acting, set and overall production was excellent. I will be back to The Raven. You can quote me on that!

Spencer (the star) was great. Biff was also wonderful. Other performances were a bit ragged (a lot of stumbled lines, and Ben was never credible at all). It might have been an off afternoon, but the central performance was compelling enough to overwhelm the deficiencies the other actors (and, to be honest, the script) so I have no regrets.

The Raven does great shows. This is the second we hae seen (also Hedda Gabler); they both have been quite good. The lead (Willy) was really good. On stage pretty much the whole time; showed a wide variety of emotions and energy levels; maybe he could tone it down just a bit. Supporting cast were all strong. There set desiner and carpenters are amazing. for a small theater, the sets compare well to the big theaters. Very impressive. I have had a love/hate relationship with ths play for many years; i jsut wish there were something positive to the story; but if you can take the hard emotions, go to this one.

This was an engrossing evening of theater! The acting was superb. I was a little a confused by the director's decision to use the aisles and exits as well as the more-than-ample stage as places from which the characters conversed--found that a bit distracting. Otherwise, an excellent production!
