Writer-performers Kate Duffy and Abby McEnany present Double Clutch at the Annoyance Theater. A new sketch comedy show about people plagued by self-doubt (the show's title comes from a baseball term used to describe hesitation in throwing), Double Clutch features characters like a cancer-stricken woman determined to become a young-adult author, a dowdy lesbian detective, a mild-mannered office drone with a bad haircut, and a heartless femme fatale, among others. Both veterans of the Second City's National Touring Company, Duffy and McEnany present these often dark characters realistically, but with comedy in mind. Brendan Dowling (The Improvised Shakespeare Company) directs.
