Following a successful engagement at the Box Factory for the Arts in Michigan, the new two-person play with music Duo: 1 is One; 2 is Math comes to Steppenwolf Theatre for a concert reading. Veteran Chicago actors Suzanne Petri and Roger Anderson star as a couple (the duo) whose relationship we follow from first meeting to marriage. We experience the highs, lows, changes and life lessons until they finally discover "Why we Stuck." Duo features a book by Bill C. Thomas and music by Elizabeth Doyle and is directed by 23-year Steppenwolf ensemble member Robert Breuler.

Description

Duo  is a new work designed to appeal to everyone who has ever been in a relationship from a young couple starting out to couples that are in the middle years, encountering the difficult times in a relationship that may occur every day.

"It doesn't matter whether you have a ring or not, whether you are young or old, or whether you are in a new romance or long term relationship," says performer Suzanne Petri. "Hopefully, two people can look at each other and see how it all fits together in the larger picture."
