It's the 45th anniversary of the infamous storm that shut down Chicago for five days, and world premiere play Blizzard '67 captures the chilling intensity of that time. Set in the glamorous, fast-paced Loop of the late '60s, the story follows four high-power businessmen whose daily cutthroat competition takes a backseat to a struggle for survival when they find themselves trapped in the most fearsome blizzard Chicago has ever known. If they don't overcome their corporate rivalries and come together as a team, they'll be left out in the cold. Blizzard '67 is written by resident playwright Jon Steinhagen, winner of the 2009 Julie Harris Playwriting Award. Learn More

This play is hilarious. The comic and physical timing was terrific. You will not be disappointed. The theater is easy to get to and because of its small size, there isn't a bad seat in the house.Written on Sep 02 2008

More Information About Election Day
Description
Theatre Seven presents the Chicago premiere of Josh Tobiessen's rip-roaring political satire.
The race for mayor is coming down to the wire, and Adam's activist girlfriend, Brenda, won't stop reminding him to vote. When Brenda heads out for one last day on the stump, Adam gets a visit from his deadbeat sister, her anarchist boyfriend and the opposing mayoral candidate himself. Between a kidnapping conspiracy, a sack of Molotov cocktails, a sex-for-votes exchange and one severely stoned ecoterrorist, will Adam ever make it to the voting booth?
Directed by Brant Russell
