Elsewhere: A Play About Bonds That Stretch and Break
Set in 1969 against the backdrop of the Vietnam War, this new play explores a mother and son living in an inner-ring suburb of Chicago. Playwright Robert Tenges' touching and perceptive script is about the stretching of familial relationships to their breaking point. As mother Monica saves her pennies to help her son Adam avoid the draft, if necessary, he rebels against her protective nature in both subtle and overt ways. Side Project Theatre's production is the world premiere of Elsewhere.
