Packed with disasters, demons, giants and scenes of unforgettable awe and terror, the Book of Genesis has inspired centuries of artists, from the likes of John Milton (1667's Paradise Lost) to Darren Aronofsky (2014's Noah). Now Timothy Gregory, founding director of Provision Theater, has created Jacob, a new work based on that ancient text. A retelling of the story of Jacob, the Hebrew patriarch who wrestled with God, this play focuses on the Isaacson twins, brothers consumed by a deadly secret and a murderous rivalry. Everything comes to a head when one brother's dark world of fear, manipulation and deception collides with a supernatural force of truth and redemption. Gregory and Lia Mortensen co-direct this world premiere at Provision Theater. Learn More

This was very well done! Entertaining for my husband and I as well as our 13 year old son. It stayed very true to scripture and while "modern" kept the essence of the story. The actors played very well off of each other and did a great job capturing the personalities of their characters. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Great family play
