Though dead nearly sixty years, composer Charles Ives proves lively enough to referee the conflict between a father and daughter in Charles Ives, Take Me Home. In this humorous and heartwarming play from Jessica Dickey (The Amish Project), a passionate violinist is forced to come to terms with his daughter's equally-ardent devotion to basketball, with a little help from the modernist composer of Concord Sonata and Three Places in New England. Nominated for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for female playwrights, Dickey's new work stars David Belden, Stephanie Chavara and Jamie Vann. Keira Fromm directs the play's Chicago premiere at Strawdog Theatre. Learn More
