One of Shakespeare's darkest tragedies gets thrillingly re-envisioned in Ernest Bloch's opera Macbeth. Written in 1906, Bloch's version condenses the bloody tale of the murderous Scot's illicit rise to power into 110 minutes of hair-raising music and heart-wrenching emotion. The dashing Nmon Ford sings the role of the show's titular character, bringing Macbeth to life with a riveting blend of dangerous delusion and unchecked ambition. Chicago Opera Theater presents Bloch's Macbeth for the first time in the Windy City, the long overdue local premiere of a rarely seen masterpiece. Learn More

One of he best music performances I've seen in quite a while! The Apollo Chorus is amazing, the orchestra was very good, and the soloists top notch. The Harris Theatre was nearly sold out. The seats were good, and the acoustics great.
Thanks to Goldstar, we saw this great performance at the ridiculous price of $20! It's great to have Goldstar. It allows us to see great shows for a small amount of money. We also are more likely to see something new or visit a new theatre with comp or low-priced tickets!
