What could be funnier than a good old-fashioned witch hunt? In the hands of Babes With Blades Theatre Company -- not much. Their new original show Witch Slap! finds mass hilarity amidst mass hysteria in a colonial town, as local witches band together to stop the madness of those who would hunt them. You're in good hands with Babes With Blades, who place exciting, strong, complex women and their stories center stage, developing theater that showcases their strength and vitality through the art of stage combat. Witch Slap! by Jeff Goode was the winner of their 2013-2014 Joining Sword & Pen Competition, which inspires playwrights to develop scripts featuring stage combat roles for women. Learn More
The easiest way to get there from either the Loop or Evanston is to take the Red Line to the Granville stop and walk west on Granville to the theater which is on the corner of Granville and Clark. For some odd reason, Google Maps tells you to turn right on to Clark. Don't do it. The Raven Theater is on your left and on the corner of Granville and Clark.Wit travel • Jun 09 2014 star this tip starred
