We were just stunned at the level of expertise and musicianship shown by ALL the various choral groups that were on the program, and the Elgin Symphony, which we had never heard before, blew us away! They were great! As were the professional soloists (both teach at Texas Tech.). The groups ranged from a high school group from Colorado to the Texas Tech Choir and other choral groups from Lubbock TX, and we had no idea what a treat we were in for when we purchased this Goldstar deal!!! We will go every year they do this show! The huge variety of selections was incredible--there were pieces in Old French, Latin, ? Indian, Spanish, German; and it doesn't get any better than Eric Whitacre. All the conductors were great, especially Richard Bjella--wow! Kudos to Manhattan Concert Productions--this must've been unbelievably difficult to produce, with all the coordination between groups. The mass choir was just spectacular--if you love choral music, this was the place to be on Sunday night!
