Joyce obviously loves her city and gave an enthusiastic and informative tour of this once seamy neighborhood. Her own family's roots in the area gave her comments a personal touch. She gave us enough time to wander the market and get a feel for...continued

HIGHLY recommend as a great way to see both "new" and "old" Maxwell St market locations, along with other interesting historical sites in the area. Joyce is knowledgeable and welcoming. You won't be disappointed!

This tour begins outside the UIC/Halsted Blue Line “El” Station and ends at the Hull House Museum. It covers approximately two miles at a leisurely pace.
