Dressing for Our Lives: Anti-Nostalgia Dark Comedy Set in '88

Full Price:
$17.00
Our Price:
$9.50

Like a version of The Cosby Show's Clair and Cliff Huxtable gone horribly wrong, Dressing for Our Lives finds married couple Meredith and Stan struggling to raise their 13-year-old daughter Megan. Meredith can't stay sober, Stan can't stay faithful, and this '80s-set dark comedy can't help but pull the gauzy veil off of our collective memories from that sitcom-styled decade. Those years of Alex P. Keaton, Ronald Reagan, Cabbage Patch dolls, Rubik's cubes and mullets take on a decidedly different feel when viewed through this play's prism. It's a wild, funny ride through an era when things like materialism, drunkenness, psychobabble, interracial marriage and even being in the closet could be almost absurdly different than how we remember them. Theater is very comfortable. Not a bad seat in the house. The play was well acted sets were simple but effective. Voices were well heard and you can't beat valet parking only $8.00. I'll go back.

Simply delightful! I went with my boyfriend and sat up front which was our seating preference. The performance was endearing. I would recommend to others.

Just delightful. Loved the theatre, great location. Actors were wonderful. Drinks were a bit pricey. Other then that I would return for other shows when I am in the area and recommend to friends.
