F*** You, I Love You, Bye: The Rahm Emanuel Story at Annoyance
- Full Price:
- $20.00
- Our Price:
- $10.00
Annoyance Productions presents the premiere of this new comedy parodying the life and career of Chicago's current mayor, Rahm Emanuel. Playwright Marc Warzecha (Oprah! A Comedy) and political writer Andy Cobb present all sides of Emanuel: politician, family man, ballet dancer, rapper ... and possibly the most manipulative jerk the Third Coast has ever seen. Watch as the shy, talentless child grows into the power-hungry politician and ascends the power ladder to Windy City mayor. Through flashbacks, PowerPoint and song, this hilarious and original piece will speak to every Chicagoan. Learn More

Sort of a Second City meets the Twilight Zone. There are four different scenes interlaced with 1950's era commercials performed live by the actors. It's a fast one-hour extravaganza of the absurd, but it evoked several good belly laughs. A fun evening.Written on Oct 08 2008

Description

In the town of Knight Falls, Maine, nothing is as it seems. A zero turns hero by manipulating time itself in the chilling “Take Your Time.” A mime is framed for a grisly murder but has nothing to say in his defense in “Tiny Dancer.” A failing salesman takes control of his life, as well as the lives of others, in “Influence People.” A beautiful, young co-ed boards a train to oblivion in the terrifying “Nightmare on Rails.” Narrator Rob Burlington will guide audiences through this tiny, terrifying town trapped in time.
