Description

Formed in 1986 with the intention of amassing a group of diverse musicians from various regions to demonstrate the typical rhythms of each Latin American country, Carpacho's Super Combo is a melting pot of musicians from the United States, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Columbia. The group performs the full gamut of tropical music including salsa, merenque, cumbia, and bolero as well as samba, bossa nova, polka and paso doble.

Carpacho y Su Super Combo band received the award for the best local tropical band from Ritmo Awards 2000 and was recognized by C.U.P.U.L.A. for appreciation in representing the Colombian community.
