We went on the Odyssey Fireworks Cruise and overall it was a good experience. I am not exactly sure it's worth the price though (and that's with the discount). The boat is lovely, no complaints. The staff was very friendly (not as polished as I would expect given the Odyssey's the top of the line cruise ship status) but most importantly, incredibly nice and helpful. They have 3 levels to dine in (and maybe this is where things should be clarified to the consumer). The bottom level was closed (which is good b/c I wouldn't want to be down there anyway). The middle level (main level) was the largest and had live music (they had a full band). The band was very lively, the crowd was lively and everyone seemed to be having a good time (but probably not the place to sit if you want to have a nice, quiet conversation). The top, or 3rd level, where we sat, was about 1/2 the size of the main level and had live music too, but it was a pianist (playing more of lounge type music--aka a little boring for me). This level should be dubbed the business or senior citizen level. It was the level to be on if you were discussing business, or giving your older parents an anniversary gift, or maybe just wanted a really quiet romantic dinner....but not the level to be on if you wanted a fun crowd and more lively entertainment (which is what I was looking forward to--especially hearing the band). Our server was really sweet, I very much appreciated her. The food was overall good, but I am a "foodie" so I have high expectations. Besides wishing I had been on the main level where the lively action was, my biggest frustration was that we kinda just went around in circles inside the breakwall. I was told (and hoping for) the feeling of a real cruise on Lake Michigan towards Evanston and back, but we just kinda circled around close to Navy Pier. In the end, I thought I could probably have eaten someplace that had excellent food with a great view of Navy Pier for cheaper than our 3 hour tour where we really didn't go anywhere. But I did like it and if it's a boat you are looking for, then this from my understanding the best option in Chicago. Just know what you are interested in before purchasing tickets so you have 100% information to clarify your expectations.

This was the most romantic place to be on Valentines day. The atmosphere was lovely; the service was excellent; the live music was delightful; and the food was extradinary! I would recommend this cruise for every couple out there.
