Edith Wharton Meets With F. Scott Fitzgerald in Tea With Edie and Fitz
- Full Price:
- $30.00
- Our Price:
- $9.00 - $15.00
One day in the 1920s, two literary legends -- Edith Wharton and F. Scott Fitzgerald -- met for tea, and then never spoke again. Tea With Edie and Fitz imagines that monumental meeting, jumping backward and forward in time to examine the lives of the two fascinating writers. What happened during their meeting to cause them to never speak again? Spanning the entire globe, from glittering expatriate Paris to roaring post-WWI Manhattan, the show explores each author's life. Fitzgerald shared his life with his beautiful and troubled Southern wife, Zelda, while Wharton shared hers with the ghost of her mentor and longtime companion Henry James. A look at the two writers' lives leads to questions of gender, sanity, time, the purpose of art, and the nature of love and loss. Learn More

Written on Oct 26 2009excellent for a night out for a good laugh
Written on Oct 26 2009the show was not at all what we expected. The comedy was extremely corney and not even funny, the songs they did sing were difficult to understand the words most of the time which led to not being able to catch some of the jokes related to the songs. They started late and ended on time so the show seemed to be shorter than other venues we have attended. We felt this was a waste of our time & money and also the fact that we also paid for parking. Very disappointed, and we have seen this group before at the Piccolo theatre and enjoyed their other productions, but this was terrible. We do not recommend!
Written on Oct 19 2009This event was totally Not what I expected. I took my husband as part of our sweetest day weekend. It was a small theatre room, and the show was relatively low bugdet, BUT it was good fun. The host /comedian was pretty funny and made a habit out of making fun of the show itself..which made it funnier. The burlesque dances were interesting... They showed off more than expected but no problem there, we were all adults! The crowd was great and made the events all the more entertaining. For a small show it was pretty cool.
