Set in a fictional Indiana town during the Great Depression, Jim Leonard Jr.'s moving drama focuses on the friendship between an ex-preacher from Kentucky and a disturbed young boy. The boy -- deeply traumatized by a near-drowning in his past that led to the death of his mother -- is now terrified of water, but also gifted with the ability to divine its location. As the bond between these two grows, the preacher works with the boy to overcome his crippling fear of water. And when the townspeople, desperate for a spiritual leader, mistake an eventual bathing for a baptism, their confusion leads to some significant consequences in The Diviners. Learn More

What a great little venue. And OMG what a piece of theater. The play weaves together all the things that really matter: poverty on the grand scale, the speck of the cosmos that is the earth, what it's like to die, and how to die, and live, in the best possible ways. The cast poured their heart and soul into the show, and their effort needs to be broadcast to the four winds. So here I go a broadcasting: Don't miss this amazing and quarky piece: Quark. (And Goldstar made it a cinch to find). And no, I wasn't paid off by anyone, Goldstar included!

This is a play that will make you think. The cast is very talented and the audio visual worked really well. I think the script could use some editing; but the seeds of a wonderful thought provoking play are here. Definitely worth seeing!
