Winner of the Obie Award for Best Play, The Cryptogram is an acclaimed drama from one of the most celebrated, prolific and influential writers of the 20th century: David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, Wag the Dog). Spotlighting the terrible -- and sometimes terrifying -- moment when childhood's ease and innocence vanishes, this gripping drama unfolds over the course of one late evening in 1959. A young boy waits up for his father, in eager anticipation of their pending camping trip. Denying his mother's urges to go to sleep, the boy is entertained by a family friend whose grown-up speak begins to reveal itself as a code that hides within it a number of uncomfortable secrets. Mixing mercurial intelligence with Hitchcockian menace, The Cryptogram is a spooky, subtle and witty piece of work. Learn More

Richard III as a slimy Falstaff. Standout performances from Title character and the women. The Lord Mayor's plastic face will crack you up. Polluted & too-hip, ironic times allow a Richard III to ascend power. Very relevant. Very good production!ed and rough, construction-like stage reflects the degraded mindscape that allows a Richard III to ascend power. Relevant and very powerful production!
