Description
Samuel Del Real was born in Barranquilla Colombia on August 22, 1953. By the tender age of ten he began studies at the Bellas Artes Music School in Barranquilla. At the age of 16 he began his professional career while performing as a pianist for The legendary Pacho Galan Orchestra. In 1975, Samuel moved to Caracas, Venezuela where he continued to further develop his career, by performing extensively with his group in Caracas hottest spots. In 1979 Samuel joined La Dimension Latina, a famous Venezuelan Latin-salsa band, and toured the entire Americas. Samuel became arranger for people as Oscar D' Leon, Andy Montanez and other giants of the Latin America musical scene. By 1983, Samuel regrouped his own band and produced his first album featuring his first hit, "Ella No Baila Sola." Since then he's gone on to record several albums and play countless live shows, wowing audiences with his extensive Latin Jazz and Salsa repertoire as well as fresh interpretations of AfroCuban classics.
