Packed with disasters, demons, giants and scenes of unforgettable awe and terror, the Book of Genesis has inspired centuries of artists, from the likes of John Milton (1667's Paradise Lost) to Darren Aronofsky (2014's Noah). Now Timothy Gregory, founding director of Provision Theater, has created Jacob, a new work based on that ancient text. A retelling of the story of Jacob, the Hebrew patriarch who wrestled with God, this play focuses on the Isaacson twins, brothers consumed by a deadly secret and a murderous rivalry. Everything comes to a head when one brother's dark world of fear, manipulation and deception collides with a supernatural force of truth and redemption. Gregory and Lia Mortensen co-direct this world premiere at Provision Theater. Learn More

I absolutely loved this play! The actors were all very talented, I felt like I was seeing into a family's life as it unfolded and was invited into their living room. The story was interesting and at times almost moved me to tears.
If i had to pick anything negative to say, it would be I wish it was just a tad bit louder and maybe more variety in the set.
This Broadway and West End hit is the love story of C.S. Lewis, Oxford don and author of _T__he Chronicles of Narnia_ and The Screwtape Letters, and outspoken American poet Joy Davidman. C.S. Lewis never anticipated how their lives would become entwined. But Shadowlands shows how their love, and the risk of its loss, transformed all of this great man’s relationships, even with God.
