Set in rural Ireland, John M. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World follows a young man who swaggers into a small pub telling grand tales and boasting of dark deeds. Instead of condemning him, the local men and ladies admire him. Not all is as it seems, however, and when the young stranger meets his match in a feisty, beautiful barmaid, there's an unexpected twist in the tale that threatens his moment in the spotlight. This dark, comedic masterpiece still packs the same punch as when it was originally produced at Dublin's Abbey Theatre in 1907. Learn More

At the 26th Annual Summer Gala, Raven Theatre presents scenes from some of its favorite comedies from the past and a few sneak previews from next season and beyond, featuring Raven's terrific ensemble.
Raven Theatre will also honor special guests Arnold Ordman, Mark Yates and Allan Price. Each (past and current) board president has played a key role in guiding Raven Theatre on its tremendous journey from its old and charming storefront location to its new, beautiful complex.
Dinner and libations will be courtesy of Anne Sather Catering and Champions Tavern, with a live auction and more.
About the Ticket Supplier: Raven Theatre
