Event Highlights
More Details About This Event: In every performance of Supernatural Chicago, Neil Tobin, Necromancer, introduces theatergoers to some of Chicago's most well-documented paranormal events, brought to life through storytelling and audience-engaging, interactive demonstrations of mindreading, magic and other phenomena.
As the Chicago Tribune/Red Eye edition raves, "He'll teach you about Chicago's paranormal history and get you involved in psychic experiments that put Jedi mind tricks to shame." The interactive experience begins the moment audience members enter Excalibur. The building that houses Excalibur has been cited repeatedly by paranormal investigators and such TV shows as A&E's "Sightings" as one of the most haunted locations in Chicago. Asks the Necromancer, "What better place to lift a drink, soak up some haunting stories about our city, and explore the unexplained?" About Neil Tobin: In addition to being the creator and host of Supernatural Chicago, necromancer Neil Tobin performs regularly at private parties, corporate events, and charity galas throughout the Chicago area. Tobin has been the subject of feature-length articles in the Chicago Tribune and other publications, and has performed on broadcasts for The Travel Channel, the Biography Channel, KISS-FM, WCKG-FM, and WGN-TV (opposite Oscar nominee Gary Sinise). He can also be seen in the DVD release of the Michael Keaton thriller "White Noise," and heard on his CD with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "Peter and the Werewolf." Tobin is the president of the Chicago Assembly of the Society of American Magicians. About Excalibur Nightclub: The reputedly "haunted" Excalibur building was designed in 1892 by famed architect Henry Ives Cobb, and has been honored with a Historic Landmark designation. The nightclub was voted "Best Nightclub" by the Chicago Tribune, and has received similar awards yearly since its opening in 1989. Located in Chicago's River North entertainment district across from the Hard Rock Cafe, this unmistakable red granite castle is a Chicago nightlife icon that boasts Chicago's largest dance floor, multiple lounges, billiard tables, late-night dining, and live entertainment. |
